We are working with a dynamic multi-channel retailer who is looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Department Manager. Our Client has a number of UK stores which offers a range of clothing and has a well-developed ecommerce operation.

The warehouse operation plays a vital role in the service they offer to their customers.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Warehouse Department Manager, you will lead and inspire the team to continue to deliver the service that our client is passionate about. Whether that’s ensuring that stock is accounted for across the business allowing customers access to it as soon as possible, or ensuring every delivery is packaged with care creating an amazing first impression.

You will lead your team to deliver great standards every time based on what’s right for the customer. You should be naturally inquisitive with a passion for looking for new ways to improve existing systems. You will work closely with other departments across the business ensuring that the operation is working in collaboration with key departments including customer services, merchandising and finance.

ABOUT YOU

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Department Manager with the ability to lead a team. Proactive in nature you will be able to work independently and take accountability for the results of your team, with the ability to deputise for your shift manager when required. It is essential that you can inspire and motivate others to deliver exceptional customer service.

You will have experience of running departments within a large warehouse (ideally as part of an ecommerce operation, but this isn’t essential), with a track record of improving departmental and warehouse processes. With a solid understanding of health and safety, you will be able to ensure this is always a priority for all staff; maintaining a safe working environment and taking ownership of managing risks as they occur. You will also have the ability to engage with your team and other teams across the business, ensuring day to day operations are organised and moving forward, using your management skills to empower your team to deliver great results. You will ensure team achievements are recognized and support your shift managers by identifying talent and developing your team for our future growth.
