Roles & Responsibilities
- Place all purchase orders with suppliers
- Input all PO details onto Orderwise along with estimated arrival dates and check supplier order confirmations carefully.
- Keep all order schedules and stock schedules up to date
- Update weekly usage reports for fast moving product lines to give advance warning of potential stock outs
- Keep the wider team informed of any SKUs out of stock and when they are due back in and deal with any other stock queries that crop up.
- Liaise with customers over orders which are being shipped directly to them from the supplier and keep them updated with delivery dates, etc.
- Check order shipping schedules from overseas suppliers every week and chase up any late shipments and missing shipping information
- Work with the Operations Manager on the schedule of incoming deliveries to make sure they are booked in for unloading at the warehouse in a timely manner.
- Update Orderwise with actual arrival dates for all orders as soon as these are confirmed
- Monitor and flag up very slow moving stock lines with Purchasing Team Leader and Sales Director
- Arrange movements of stock between the Northern and Southern Warehouse when required
- Check and approve supplier invoices and schedule payments to suppliers
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure their accounts are kept up to date.
