Contracts Manager - PART TIME

We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to start immediately on a Temporary part time contract (21 hours a week), for the next 3 months. This role is located in Central London and is paying £28000 - £34000 pro rata.

Who you will be working for?

Our client is a leading international charity dedicated to providing protection, opportunities and emergency aid to the most vulnerable children and adults across the globe. Every day this organisation delivers results for millions of children around the world, which allow those children who are hardest to reach have a voice which can be heard.

What will you be doing?

The purpose of tis role is to provide essential contract and commercial support to the Home Learning Environment team.

  • Building proactive and positive relationships with suppliers
  • First point of call about contract enquires
  • Ensure that the suppliers you manage are compliant to their terms
  • Ensure contract visibility and awareness
  • Track key performance indicators and outputs and provide interpretation and feedback to support implementation and delivery
  • Manage tender process and negotiations for any new contracts
  • Manage contract reviews, on-going issues and variation/change managements, contract extensions or renewal
  • Ensure that contract amendments and progress are properly recorded and securely maintained
  • Be able to work within a small team and understand the implications of contract delivery within wider strategic aims and work
  • Provide support and advice to the wider organisation on contracts
  • Ensure all contracted activity meets GPDR and safeguarding requirements
  • Other relevant duties as required

About you:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders by exercising good judgement and professionalism.
  • Previous contracting and/or commissioning experience, including contract review.
  • Previous experience of operational programme management, working with a range of different suppliers and commercial terms.
  • Excellent at negotiating and problem-solving, with a resilient approach to tackling issues.
  • Good leadership skills and a self-starter with a positive mind-set,
  • Ability to prioritise work load
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to interact and effectively influence stakeholders, building collaborative relationships where appropriate.
  • You will have the ability to engage with users to understand requirements, influence decision making

Due to the nature of the organisation and their mission of helping children and vulnerable adults, you will need to complete a DBS check before starting.
