Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently recruiting an experienced Buyer to work for a successful engineering business, supplying specialist purpose machinery on a global scale.
My client provides a bespoke end to end service for their customers, delivering from design, manufacture and installation. They are currently going through a period of transition following major growth and success and are now looking to add new talent to their existing team, across several departments.
One of the key focus areas will be to centralise their procurement and add more structure to their day to day purchasing operation. They are looking to bring in an experienced Buyer to review their existing portfolio of suppliers and analyse overall spend, identifying areas to consolidate and reduce cost.
We are looking for a professional who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify cost down opportunities. You will be confident in communicating at all levels and willing to deal with end to end purchasing including administrative tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Purchasing across direct and indirect
-Sourcing globally, ensuring best market value
-Managing a portfolio of suppliers, building collaborative working relationships
-Working closely with engineering and production to ensure materials and parts are correctly sourced in line with technical specifications
-Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels
-Negotiating costs and SLA's in line with business requirements
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:
-Ideally CIPS qualified
-Minimum 3 years Procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
-Ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms
-Excellent supplier management skills
