This business that has gone from strength to strength over the years, doubling their turnover in just 3 years. Their experience is the design and construction of quality homes spanning social housing, luxury apartments and inner-city developments, servicing both the private and public sectors.

They turn over £80m per year where they work and partner with multiple Housing associations and Boroughs throughout London and the South East, as well as their own developments. Projects range from £500k - £20 million in value and at present have about 8 live projects ranging from 30 units - 300 units.

They are currently looking for an Assistant Buyer due to their ongoing growth to be based in their South London office, they will assist in the procurement of materials across the project portfolio of the business, reporting in to a Senior Buyer.

Your new role
The role of the Buyer will be to ensure the efficient running of the materials and sub-contract purchasing function and co-ordinate with other departments to ensure financial control of all materials and sub-contracts purchases. Other duties will include, but not limited to; ensure all materials are delivered to sites in line with current build programmes, ensure the procurement of all sites/buying phases are continually monitored against budget, produce accurate site specific material schedules and process material orders and ensure competitive quotations are obtained for materials not covered by bulk agreements.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have proven experience within a buying role, ideally within a main contractor working on residential projects. Consideration will be given to commercial administrators that have experience with assisting a buying/procurement team.

What you'll get in return
In return as the Assistant Buyer, you can expect a salary of up to 25k, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, as well as other benefits.
