This expansion has led to an influx of investment in best practice procurement, and as a result the firm is seeking a highly experienced Logistics sourcing & category management specialist to join the Procurement Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will enjoy the following challenges: -

• Providing expert advice and innovative sourcing solutions to senior stakeholders and leading the design and implementation of complex category strategies across Logistics, Freight (Oceanic, Road & Rail), Warehousing and transport sub-categories:
• Operating with a truly strategic mind-set, working collaboratively with category teams to en-sure alignment to relevant procurement strategies
• Identifying sustainable, long term savings opportunities through the strategy creation process, identifying and exploring all potential value levers
• Creating compelling business cases for change aligned and in collaboration with the Procurement Leadership Team
• Working closely with and learning directly from the Procurement Practice Lead

Required experience: -

• Indirect sourcing & logistics category experience, with a track record for leading successful sourcing & procurement projects for areas such as Oceanic, Road, Rail and Sea Freight, Warehousing sub-categories
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skillset
• Supplier management experience of major 3PL & 4PL providers
• Degree, MCIPS and Prince 2 qualifications preferred not essential
