THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are excited to be working exclusively with a leading Rotherham business for a UK Export and Internal Sales manager. Based in the company's Rotherham office, the post holder will be responsible for managing and motivating an internal sales and estimating team, to ensure that KPI's are met and exceeded for pipeline and order intake growth.

THE JOB:

Responsibilities

Leading from the front, the post holder will ensure that the sales team consistently achieve KPI's for proactive sales activity and relationship development with customers, architects and main contractors specifically;

  • Lead generation - by researching various sources (including web and ABI Barbour) to identify projects for construction and refurbishment where the companies products and services may be required.
  • Appointment generation - to ensure that all leads are followed up by outgoing telephone calls to introduce the business and to generate opportunities to quote and where possible become specified. Appointments made will be attended mostly by the external sales Specification Managers.
  • Quote follow up - outgoing telephone calls to follow up quotes for projects across a sales cycle that can last up to 2 years, ensuring that calls and follow ups are diarised on the company CRM system.
  • General housekeeping of the CRM to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
  • Order Intake - ensuring that opportunities for the team to close deals are maximised by management of the process above, and conversion rates to orders meet required levels for order intake targets.
  • Reporting - ensuring that activity and order intake levels are accurately measured and reported in weekly sales reports.
  • Forecasting - ensuring that monthly and quarterly order intake forecasts are accurate and meet required targets.
  • Managing the team as necessary to help them achieve all KPI's and targets.
  • Ensure all sales & maintenance orders are processed onto the system correctly.
  • Generate weekly reports as required as required for senior management review.
  • Assist with organising internal marketing tasks as required.
  • Support the Sales & Marketing managers as required with related activities.

THE PERSON:

  • Good people management skills, supportive at all times and assertive when necessary, to ensure the team stay focused and on track.
  • Excellent and persuasive communicator with outbound telephone call sales skills.
  • Able to be proactive in seeking solutions to customer problems/questions.
  • Must have 2yrs+ experience and successful track record in a sales role where outbound telephone calls are the primary contact method for leads, prospects and customer development.
  • Must have 2yrs+ experience managing and motivating people.
  • Ideally have worked in a company selling building products to architects and contractors.
  • Ideally have experience in both UK and Export sales.
