With an office in Euston, London, this Senior Recruitment and Operations Manager role will be based with the team in our Northampton head office. The culture is positive, energetic and ambitious. This newly created senior recruitment and operations role will report to the CEO and manage a team of 5 people who cover a wide range of non-sales functions. This includes Marketing, HR, Talent, Legal, IT, Finance, Contractor Care, Compliance, Payroll, Operations, Procurement and Sales Support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking full commercial and operational ownership for all the non- sales business functions;
  • Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team to reach their fullest potential. This includes recruiting and training of new members to the team as required;
  • Scale the internal infrastructure in order to improve profitability while maintaining customer service; Responsibility for ensuring high standards across business functions, projects and suppliers;
  • In a technology enabled business services environment, deliver roadmaps for improvement e.g: automation of processes, leading on upgrades and training the business on new tech;
  • Being commercially astute and able to act as a business partner to the CEO, making sound decisions in the best interests of the business;
  • Manage effectively the relationship with external suppliers for those areas not carried out in house (e.g: legal and IT);
  • Provide strategic direction to all the functions e.g: Marketing, including maximisation of ROI and ensuring that the function fully meets the demands of the business;
  • Lead on all non-sales matters in relation to the establishment of any new group companies/offices e.g: setting up a new business in the USA within the next 12-24 months.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and driven to achieve high levels of personal success. Have enough previous experience to enable them to execute this role to a high standard including previous people management experience and an ability to inspire and motivate. They will have an ability to focus not just on day to day operational efficiency but also to be able to think strategically and to implement continuous improvements. In addition, you should be trustworthy, full of integrity and be comfortable working in a fast moving, entrepreneurial, sales driven environment where priorities can and do change quickly.
