Key Responsibilities:
- To develop procurement category and innovative sourcing strategies, get buy in from relevant senior stakeholders and deliver those strategies and targets
- To lead, develop and coach a team of procurement professionals to deliver brilliant outcomes for the client and their customers
- To build and maintain a strong partnership with stakeholder community and ensure continuous alignment with the business strategy & delivery of the objectives
- To drive end-to-end sourcing projects including complex contractual and pricing models
- To devise negotiation strategies that target the right outcomes for the client
- To proactively drive enforcement of category strategy, identification and realisation of savings opportunities, and mitigation of supply risks
- To minimise input costs/risks for major Customer bids and contracts through sourcing and commercial activities, including pricingand contractual flow downs/ups
- To identify business improvements through the Optimisation of commercial, design and process levers that minimise the Total Cost of Ownership for the client
- To assure commercial models and terms with our Partners/Suppliers are designed for a Service Provider model and drive optimal value and protection for the client
Key Skills:
- Recognised as a leader and expert for the categories under management, and someone who influences the client's strategic sourcing agenda
- Maintains an excellent network internally and externally to identify and use best practices
- Demonstrates proven ability to manage complex, strategic and commercial requirements across Units and deliver the right outcomes for the client.
- Demonstrates deep understanding around commercial models / contract terms and conditions, including around Software defined networks and Cloud / Hosted services
- Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders (e.g. up to MD level) and their management teams around commercial strategy, sourcing approach and decision making
- Relationship and negotiation skills required for leading complex pan-category negotiations with global suppliers such as Cisco
- Effective communication skills required to interact with stakeholder and procurement teams based in different regions to align on strategy and execution
- Change management skills to delivery transformation and operational excellence across the team
- MCIPS or equivalent qualification (preferred)
