Junior Buyer

Lovell Sports are looking for a Junior Buyer to bolster the existing purchasing team in Torbay. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to the team.

Core Responsibilities:

• To work with both the buying and marketing departments in analysing past sales figures/trends to anticipate future product buys and number of SKU’s in a range
• To monitor stock movement, consider markdowns, promotions or clear outs etc
• Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with the head buyer
• Monitoring slow sellers and reporting back to Buyers and Marketing Manager to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
• Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance and pricing
• To analyse sales data to identify buying patterns and provide marketing insights
• Ensuring correct product price points are achieved
• Liaison with Purchasing to define product marketing priorities
• Meeting with suppliers regularly to ensure relationship is maintained
• Manage stock data on back office system
• Liaise with merchandising to ensure product launch calendar is up to date

Hours of work Monday - Friday, 9am -5.30pm
