SF Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join a construction company based in Wolverhampton.

Role Requirements and Responsibilities:

Experience of the building industry is highly desired as is experience in a similar procurement or buying function as this is a demanding role where guidance will be provided but you would be expected to work on your own initiative with limited supervision from the outset
Be able to issue material, plant and low value subcontract enquires and carry out quote analysis and either place orders or make recommendations for award.
Able to communicate with internal staff members and external customers
Able to plan, carry out and complete tasks
Team Player with a proactive and positive attitude towards problem solving and task completion
Work to tight deadlines
Willing to learn and adapt
Flexible and approachable
Must have a drivers license, be numerical and a good communicator
Placing sub contractor and material orders
Liaising with suppliers and sub contractors
Be able to drive the process from start to end with minimal supervision
Outlook, excel, word and data/document management programmes
