A global luxury company is looking to recruit a Procurement Administrator on a temporary basis initially for 6 months paying up to £20,000 pro rota. You will be required to work 4 days out of 5 with Friday off.
JOB PURPOSE
- This role is to ensure that the procurement of all Non Stock products and services adheres to Burberry policy in a timely and efficient manner
- Deliver excellence in Procurement through timely and accurate service to the business stakeholders
- The overall job purpose for this role is to:
- Ensure compliant purchasing through review of purchase requisitions (buying channel, categorization, price, etc.)
- Support the creation of complex Purchase Requisitions / Purchase Orders
- Provide ad-hoc and new reports
- Ensure processes and procedures are followed in terms of purchase order raising and goods receipting
- Ensure all purchase orders are raised in a timely manner before the expense has incurred based on vendor quotes
- Apply understanding of assigned business process to identify gaps and propose continuous improvement measures
- Work closely with the process owner and team lead to understand root causes and represent process procedures, practicalities and exceptions
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree level or equivalent
- Experience in Operational Procurement or strategic sourcing
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire trust and confidence Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
- High level of experience in SAP
- High level of competence in MS Office products (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of e-procurement solutions required (preferably Ariba) and SAP
Skills
- Ability to take ownership of the completion of discrete tasks as well as identifying issues and potential resolution as part of the completion
- Superior ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Ability to complete assigned tasks error free, with limited supervision and within agreed timeline.
- Ability to adopt a customer-centric approach ensuring that the business stakeholders are satisfied with the service
