Export Administrator

Wakefield

Full Time/ Permanent

Paying up to 20,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful, company has arisen with my client based centrally in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an export role and have strong administration and communication skills. The role will assist with the smooth running of the export department.

The duties will include:

  • Booking both air and road freight shipments and all associated paperwork, including system inputting and adhering to company and industry regulations including Dangerous Goods - necessary training provided
  • Daily review and update of supplementary air export work including post flights, dealing with airlines, emails and liaising with sister offices in both the UK and over seas
  • Calculating and issuing quotes
  • Invoicing
  • Dealing with queries, disputes and general customer enquiries
  • Customs entries to HMRC
  • Customer service internal/external - telephone and email
  • Liaising with Transport Dept and drivers
  • Working within Company KPIs requirements

Skills and experience required:

  • Able to work independently and within a small team
  • High level of accuracy and time management skills
  • Able to multitask
  • Capable of working within a fast paced office
  • Can work within set timeframes to achieve results required
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
  • Highly organized
  • Problem solving skills
  • Can react to a changing work environment to meet requirements
  • Can positively deal with a pressurized environment
  • A team player who is open to train on any areas necessary and will support colleagues
