I'm recruiting a Head of Logistics to lead a small team through a period of change, which is part of the ongoing investment in this fast-growing global logistics provider. Your team will be responsible for global carrier management, warehouse & hub performance, and handling of day-to-day customer requirements.
The Head of Logistics is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations while also developing and executing an improvement plan for the function. You'll start hands-on in all functions in order to develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, but you will work towards coming out of the detail as quickly as possible, upskilling the team to the required level of performance through coaching & mentoring.
You're a high-performing Logistics, Operations or Carrier Manager with experience leading a multi-disciplined team and a proven track record delivering improvement. My client acts predominantly as a carrier, so your role will focus on the performance of a network of global logistics suppliers, not running warehouses in-house - this experience of carrier performance is essential. You're a confident, charismatic leader who can easily get a team engaged in a journey. You're relentlessly customer focused, results driven and passionate about continuously improving service levels.
The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary of £60,000 to £70,000 plus a performance-related bonus and competitive benefits package.
