Supply Chain Manager
Your new company
My client are a Leicester based and independently run manufacturing business with a strong and established place in their market.
Your new role
This is a new role following a restructure for a Supply Chain Manager to join the business.
Responsibilities will include.
- Sourcing raw material suppliers and lining up interviews with directors for negotiations.
- Involvement in negotiations without director's present for certain raw materials.
- Determination of raw material specifications to suit finished product.
- Material requirement planning to meet production and sales forecast.
- Monthly meetings with suppliers to discuss Non-conformance reports.
- Monthly meetings with internal staff members to discuss internal non-conformance reports.
- Projects to streamline costs and achieve efficiencies in entire supply chain process.
- Planning and ensuring raw material is called off in accordance with production demands.
- Lab testing raw materials to see if in accordance with specifications.
- Lab testing finished goods to see if in accordance with specifications.
- Preparing trials in order to win new business.
- Stock count investigation.
- Responsible for goods in department.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this Supply Chain Manager role you will have a strong background in purchasing, supply chain and stock control and will be an exceptional communicator at all levels.
