Transport Manager - Buckingham (MK18 area) Up to £27,000pa

Our client leads the field in home to school coach and bus services and due to the securing of a presitigious new school client in the Buckingham area, requires a full time Transport Manager to manage the day to day provision of home to school and other school bus services.

You will be based on site with the school for the majority of time and able to work across the two peaks in demand: the morning school run and the afternoon school run, as well as over extra curricular activities and out of term usage (some weekends and public holidays may apply). You will liaise with the coach/bus operators and planners, as well as school staff and parent groups to ensure a safe, reliable and well optimised transport provision meets the school's needs at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years experience in a transport management/dispatch/logisitics or passenger transport role
• Ability to work autonomously and make logistical/operational decisions
• Strong route planning and journey management skills
• PC literate and competent with software and online applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in managing third party suppliers or contractors
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to work flexibly to fit school peak demand timings
• Ability to liaise directly with senior school staff
