Salary - £24,000 - £28,000 (experience influenced)
A leading UK specialist is looking for an experienced Buyer to join an existing Purchasing team in the heart of Sheffield. Working alongside the existing Buyer, you will have the relevant support measures, and established team to welcome you into your new role.
This role is ideal for a pro-active and well organised individual who holds a minimum of CIPS Level 2 qualification and has experience within a Buyer/Purchasing role previously. If you have packaging experience, this is an advantage, but applications will be considered from other industries.
Your passion for taking ownership of supplier bases, and sourcing new suppliers including commercial negotiations and service level agreements would result in you being successful within this position.
Your skills that I am looking for:
That you remain calm under pressure
Hold a minimum of Level 2 CIPS qualification
Packaging Buying/Purchasing experience would be an advantage (not essential)
Strong negotiation skills
Procurement, Buying and Purchasing experience
5 Years Purchasing/Buying experience
What your responsibilities will include:
Ensue continuity of product supply at an acceptable quality level
Working throughout the supply chain, liaising with suppliers and branch colleagues
Responsible for a range of stock lines and holding control over the inventory
Managing suppliers (existing, and sourcing new suppliers)
Negotiation
Supporting the sales team to achieve customer satisfaction
Be competitive – achieve/exceed competitive procurement prices
Implement processes to develop and deliver purchasing strategy to achieve business requirements/models
Competitive salary offered dependant on experience £24,000 - £28,000 with a great holiday allowance and plenty of employee benefits including an annual bonus!
