DS Smith Belper are recruiting for a Supply Chain Demand Planner who has the ability to digest and work with large amounts of data. You will deal with both Internal & External Stakeholders with the purpose of providing a balanced RCCP up to 12 weeks. We are looking for a strongminded individual who is also a team player. You will be the voice of Belper Supply Chain regarding Promotions, Launches & Delists and own the Plan from 2 weeks out.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure departmental compliance with all relevant site procedures and demonstrate effective use of problem solving techniques and root cause analysis where required

Ensure that the department team is adequately represented at all levels with regard to the delivery OTIF of a minimum of 95%

Assist development of robust Sales & Operations Planning processes

Challenge and prioritise loadings with customer services and manage the transfer of work to other DS Smith sites to achieve world class OTIF levels

Ensure work is accurately scheduled in weekly buckets to meet OTIF requirements and give the optimum plan for operations to drive OEE & smooth volumes to remain within plan constraints

Ensure clear communications with Operations & customer services to ensure alignment & escalate areas of shortfall/ conflict if a plan cannot be met to achieve OTIF

Ensure stock levels are managed to ensure stock turnover, ageing and obsoleting targets are achieved, and that use of internal storage is maximised

Being an integral part of the project teams that are currently creating VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and SMI (Supplier Managed Inventory)

Improve the KPI reporting within the department to make supply chain more transparent, and monitoring KPIs to improve results by instigating corrective actions
Key Competencies:
-
High level forecasting/demand planning skills
-
Very strong ERP Systems knowledge (CDM), Demand Planning (Futurmaster/SMART Pipechain)

Cloud based SMI application and SAP experience is desirable

Experience of dealing with 3rd party logistics providers, experience of implementing Sales & Ops Planning processes

Degree educated or relevant experience in a similar environment
