A reputable financial services firm are looking for an experienced Technology Category Manager to join the Procurement Team based in the Reading office.

This role supports the overall implementation of the company Procurement strategy and you will work in conjunction with internal stakeholders to identify needs and will be heavily involved in developing a technology category strategy. You will conduct market research and financial analysis to ensure an effective procurement strategy and it will be your responsibility to develop and maintain both existing and new supplier relationships to ensure accurate and compliant supplier performance. You will select an appropriate sourcing method that aligns with the company’s internal strategy and business requirements and work with the Procurement manager to identify areas for improvement.

You will ideally have experience of acting as the Lead Buyer and should be able to confidently take the reins when necessary, as well as experience managing Technology category spend and supplier relationships. You must be comfortable liaising with Senior internal stakeholders and have the ability to take a risk based approach towards the category strategy.
