Job Title: Team manager

Location: Liverpool Speke

Purpose of the Position: To manage and control your area of the responsibility in line with area specific KPl targets and time constraints.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate your team with a focus on overall employee welfare
  • Manage colleagues and deal with relevant personnel' Issues as and when the need arises
  • Including but not limited to absence management, performance and disciplinary' Issues.
  • Forward plan labour to achieve the productivity/volume control required of the shift.
  • Plan the training of staff and monitor their performance and progress, through regular reviews and feedback '
  • Plan the layout of goods within the warehouse and organise equipment availability
  • Carry out team briefs and produce reports throughout the shift
  • Manage productivity within your area of control — responsible for any department specific requirements (eg — any relevant sign offs for each department; loading sheets, rolling bays)
  • Achieve and maintain a pick accuracy level of no lower than 99.6%
  • Responsible for your area of control ensuring |
  • Plan the layout of goods in within the warehouse and organise equipment availability.
  • Ensure there are no pallets held in the Goods Intake area for more than 12 hours
  • Manage all product arrivals from Goods Into stock location
  • Monitoring pick areas to ensure that stock is available to pick at all times
  • Management of WMS ensuring any issues are escalated in a timely manner
  • Use space and MHE efficiently ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met,
  • Investigate thoroughly any incidents/accidents and escalate any issues that require it
  • Complete daily H&S audits
  • Ensure an acceptable standard of wrapping and stacking of pallets ensuring stock IS delivered to the stores in a sealable condition
  • Any other duties as required from time to time by the General Manager— on an ad hoc basis
  • To ensure that the warehouse Is clean, tidy and all stacks are level at all times managing a clean as you go environment
  • Plan hygiene team tasks within the warehouse to maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times
  • To ensure that relevant audits and workplace inspections are undertaken
  • Maintain, monitor and act where appropriate to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues, visitors and contractors on site; Where appropriate, escalate any health and safety issues to the Shift Manager and H&S Manager.
  • To work in a team based environment Where all managers work together for the good of the business
  • To ensure that high levels of store service are maintained
  • Consistent achievement of KPI targets

-Accidents per 10,000 hours

-Hygiene audit scores

-Accuracy

-Absence

-Hygiene audit of trailers and pallets no less than 90% score

-Vehicles correctly loaded to overall and axle weights (as per audit score 98%)

-Replen accuracy pallets in correct pick location

-Pick accuracy
