Operations Director - Scaffolding
A well-established, large Main Contractor based in London, seeks an experienced Operations Director, with Scaffolding experience, to be responsible for the strategic, operational and commercial management of the company's services.
The Company
The Operations Director will join a company of 500 employees specialising in Logistics, Security and Scaffolding. The company have contributed to the successes of a number of high-profile projects including the Olympic Park and the Shard.
They pride themselves on high standards of service and provide a highly supportive environment for all of their employees.
The Role
The Operations Director will have overall responsibility and report directly to the Group Chairman and Group Managing Director. The successful candidate will raise the Company's profile within the industry. This will include:
- Overseeing the management of scaffolding operations for the business
- Overseeing the quality of service delivery and HSE compliance across the Company
- Finding new business opportunities
- Establishing innovative ideas for business development and expansion
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders
- Being the point of contact for projects' operational and commercial direction
- Keeping the Chairman and Managing Director informed of the projects' commercial and operational progression
- Overseeing the management of all the company's projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and in a professional manner
- Managing and advising on various commercial areas, including contract negotiation, risk, project management and financial management
- Improving internal communication and establishing continuity in the management reporting system
- Giving defined and structured instruction to the Senior Management team
The Person
The Operations Director will have Scaffolding management experience and be commercially minded.
The Operations Director will need to have:
- Experience in overseeing the budget of different scaffolding projects
- Extensive practical experience and knowledge of Health and Safety
- Commercial and operational management experience within the construction industry

- Salary of £80,000 - £90,000 depending on experience
