Are you looking for the next step in your procurement career? I'm currently recruiting a newly created Category Manager role for a global business based in the Warrington area. This role will play a vital part in a large transformation that is taking place within the business.

What will the day to day activities include?

  • Sourcing key services and products from end to end.
  • Developing key categories within the business to achieve best value and savings through negotiation with suppliers, reducing supplier base and managing post contract award effectively.
  • Have a detailed understanding of spend trends within the business to maximise effective sourcing and increase leverage.
  • Liaising closely with key stakeholders to understand need and maximise procurement process.

What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?

  • Proven experience and delivery of strategically managing categories from end to end.
  • A confident communicator who is able to; engage, negotiate and manage key suppliers.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of an organisation.
  • Good understanding of risk and minimising this through compliance within the supply chain.
  • MCIPs or equivalent is desirable.
