Supplier Risk Manager

Our client is a highly-regarded and prestigious FTSE listed organisation with an excellent reputation in providing Services. 

The business has placed a significant focus on managing supplier risk more effectively and have created a new operating model to support this.  They now have a brand new requirement for a Supplier Risk Manager to help manage the potential risk that the business might face via outsourcing to suppliers. 

The role will suit someone with experience in Procurement, an understanding that Procurement is not just about cost but broader value and, preferably, an understanding of what supplier risk is.

The role will report to the Procurement Operations Manager. The Supplier Risk Manager will be working very closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure the supplier governance model is being managed and understood.   

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that suppliers are being monitored at the correct level, actions tracked and issues identified and managed.  This could involve contract management reviews or renewals and ensuring that these are addressed by working closely with Legal and the Procurement team
• Day to day management of the Supplier Risk Matrix
• Review controls in place to effectively manage suppliers and make recommendations for improvements
• Creation of reports to track critical suppliers and make recommendations.  Produce monthly KPI packs
• Use the Ariba platform to rack and monitor supplier details and activities This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about supplier risk management and develop your career with a blue-chip organisation.  

Skills and experience required:
• 2 years+ experience in procurement, with some understanding of supplier risk and/or auditing
• Data analysis skills with experience of using Excel to an intermediate standard and producing reports
• Excellent communication skills with proven experience of influencing and engaging stakeholders
• Experience in using a sourcing system, such as SAP Ariba, is desirable
• Graduate calibre
