Our multi-award-winning client is seeking a consultant to join their growing team in their London office. Frequently consulting in all areas of procurement with the biggest FMCG, Oil & Gas and tech companies in the UK and worldwide, this is a great opportunity for you to challenge yourself by taking the lead on working on exciting yet demanding Digital Transformation projects for the leading companies in the country, including projects such as telecoms, software, hardware and cloud.
The role:
Joining their existing Digital Procurement Transformation team, the successful candidate will demonstrate their problem-solving and management capabilities, taking ownership on complex and demanding procurement projects with key clients, primarily around digital transformation, change management, cloud computing and more. The nature of these clients means procurement budgets could be in the hundreds of millions. As well as managing teams, you'll also manage supplier relationships and utilize your industry-leading knowledge/advice where applicable on procurement sub-categories such as telecoms, software, hardware, storage and security.
Ultimately, you will be accountable for delivering successful procurement projects whilst identifying opportunities for significant cost reductions in the procurement process. At the heart of this role will be your ability to convey crucial information and innovative ideas with a professional yet persuasive manner to achieve successful project delivery.
What is required?
- Prior experience in end-to-end procurement projects within the IT category with a focus on sub-categories including software, hardware, cloud, telco and more.
- A track record of working within time-sensitive deadlines on procurement projects and strict budgets, and a history of achieving impressive individual savings against said budgets.
- The ability and confidence to make recommendations to and influence key stakeholders both internal and external
- Hands-on experience of procurement platforms such as Ariba, Oracle and SAP
