A highly regarded Insurance Company in Birmingham with a reputation for innovation and exceptional service seeks to hire an experienced Operations Manager to join them to set up and establish their E-Trading Division in Birmingham.

As an E-Trading Operations Manager you will establish and set up the E-Trading division and then manage the operation which will continue to grow. Your role will have a mixture of responsibilities with main focus on stakeholder management, people management, strategy and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for Responsible for ownership, implementation and development of the eTrading services strategy. Key stakeholders that you will engage with will be the underwriting and claims operation and IT teams to establish the eTrading contact centre. It will be within your remit to ensure quality of work from designated team members adheres to SLAs covering time and quality standards

You will also monitor capacity of the function on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, resolve and/or raise capacity issues as necessary and identify tipping points for increasing headcount, as determined by business growth outlook

You will manage the relationships with outsourced providers to ensure standards are met and ensure that the services that they provide supplement the E-trading function. Whilst managing these relationships you will also negotiate and agree contract services whilst ensuring pricing is at an optimal level.

You will instil a continuous improvement environment ensuring the department is outcome focussed, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic to achieve set business goals. Creating a professional approach to successfully interact with managers/colleagues/external suppliers is key.

The be considered you will need to be able to display a high level of management experience with exposure to stakeholder management, continuous improvement and business strategy and implementation. This will ideally be from an insurance business however similar experience within the financial services or legal sector will also be considered.
