There’s a critical lack of affordable housing and our client knows there’s no quick solution.  Their plan is to use their financial strength and development expertise to build more new homes than ever and maintain them to a high standard.  They’ve secured £88m of Homes England funding through their new Strategic Partnership and plan to build 17,000 homes over the next 10 years.

They’re currently looking for an experienced Procurement officer to support the procurement strategy.  This is a full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.

Supporting the business in their procurement activity, you’ll be the expert for procurement across a variety of purchasing categories.  This will include being responsible for the delivery of projects and ensuring compliance of OJEU and UK public sector procurement rules.

You’ll also be responsible for maintaining the contracts register, providing training and advice across the business, and conducting reporting and analysis in relation to procurement matters.

The successful candidate will already have experience in public sector procurement and will ideally hold a CIPS qualification or equivalent.  You’ll have knowledge of procurement legislation, experience of category management practice and will be skilled at delivering organisation-wide projects.

If you’re passionate about challenging performance and driving continuous improvement, this is the role for you!
