Logistics Administrator

Our client, an industry recognised food retailer, is looking for a driven and professional Logistics Administrator to join their fast-paced, rapidly expanding department.

You will need to be an organised problem solver who is computer literate and a confident communicator, detail focussed with excellent time management

Experience within an FMCG retail environment would be desirable for this role, alongside an understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate for this role would have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Logistics Environment or be a recent Graduate.

The successful Logistics Administrator duties will include:

  • Management and control of multiple supply chain projects and tasks, working with Buying, RDC’s and suppliers to deliver to agreed timeframes
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management of all levels of business
  • Support in the management and control of logistics service provider’s performance, KPI’s, development and continual improvements, ensuring availability of product into the RDC’s from suppliers
  • Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies
  • Responsible for the processing and tracking of quotes, invoicing and other administrative duties as required
  • Deliver successful Christmas and key events
  • Support the delivery of the department strategy as required

The successful Logistics Administrator must possess:

  • University Degree would be advantageous
  • A-Levels or equivalent desirable
  • 5 GSCE’s graded A*-C including Maths and English
  • Confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues of all levels is key.
  • Need strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Innate curiosity; always striving to improve and simplify processes and ensure consistency wherever possible.
  • Detail oriented.

The successful Logistics Administrator can expect:

  • £21,270 with yearly incremental increases
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
