Junior Buyer

Redwood Search have a fantastic new opportunity for a junior buyer, working for a well established construction business on the outskirts of Worcester.

This role will allow you to join a hard working but friendly team, whilst potential developing new skills in a purchasing role.

Duties will Include;
Liaising with site managers across the UK to ensure they have all the stock required to complete the work, keeping to both a budget and designated timescale.

Liaising with builder’s merchants across the UK, buying the required materials, negotiating on price and ensuring that the delivery lead time is acceptable.

Reviewing on an adhoc basis the discount schemes offered to the business to ensure that you are getting the best price possible.

The Ideal candidate;

The ideal candidate will be hard working and willing to be proactive when speaking with suppliers and site managers. You will have previous office experience, within a buyer’s role being desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

You will be willing to negotiate on a daily basis, ensuring that you receive the best price possible, whilst working to a budget.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and will have experience with word, outlook, and excel.
