We are currently recruiting a Logistics Manager for a leading international retailer based in central London. This is a great opportunity to join a well known business with excellent career development opportunities.
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, reponsibilities of this role will include:
- Monitoring performance of multiple outsourced UK distribution centres, ensuring KPIs and timelines are hit
- Ensuring operating costs are being managed appropriately
- Devising and managing operational improvement projects across the UK warehouse network
- Ensuring warehouses are prepared for demands of seasonal peaks
- Reviewing volumes and DC capacity planning for both despatch and stockholding.
- Developing relationships with other functional managers to ensure success of company wide intiatives
- Maintaining an awareness of competitors' fulfilment operations
- Reviewing Capex requests for developments within the DCs
Applicant should have:
- Experience managing 3PL(s) relationships ideally within a retail/ecommerce environment
- A good understanding of warehousing with experience driving improvement projects
- A good understanding of WMS and ideally warehouse automation
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A tenacious and resilient attitude
The successful candidate can expect a base salary between £50,000 and £55,000 plus a £5.5k car allowance, bonus and other benefits.
