Our client is a growing global FMCG business who seek to hire a Supply Chain Accountant. The role will report to the UK FD and sit on the senior leadership team. The role will be business partner to the Commercial, Logistics, Quality and manufacturing teams to manage the purchase of good, factories operations and the storage & logistics.

  • Manage the periodic, quarterly and annual financial postings required for the adherence to both group and local accounting requirements. Ensuring that processes are in place for completeness of all supply postings (accruals, prepayments, stock etc.).
  • Provide management reporting on Margin After Conversion (MAC) results and supply overheads for Factory, Market and total unit, including periodic commentary to UK FD and presenting results at the periodic Supply review and Supply Leadership Team meeting.
  • Responsible for the input of all prime, conversion and supply overheads for the operating plan and Replan process. Also for the periodic updates for the year end estimate based on S&OP inputs on volumes from all markets. Co-pilot with the cost centre managers to understand potential savings, estimated spend and driving the program of cost improvements and efficiencies throughout the supply chain.
  • Providing support for audit and external regulatory bodies.
  • Co-pilot with the Supply teams on tactical and operational decisions affecting the two Drinks factories in Basingstoke. Providing deep dives on relevant issues ensuring that problems are solved and challenge is given to decision making and resolutions provided.
  • Co-pilot with Supply and S&OP teams in defining and delivering working capital targets for stock throughout the year.
  • Build strong and long lasting relationships built on the doing the right thing and establishing on credibility
  • Own the factory P&L for the UK, ensuring that the inputs are correct and all ICP’s are calculated in line with the finance manual and tax regulations. Keeping the markets updated with key drivers of change. Also owning the stock values on the balance sheet.

A salary of £45,000-£60,000 is on offer dependant on experience plus bonus and upto 14% pension contribution.
