Shipping Administrator

This highly successful group provides project management, consultancy and niche business services to an international portfolio of clients within the Culture, Media and Sport sectors. The organisation has built an enviable reputation for managing, designing and delivering hospitality projects at some of the most prestigious music and sporting events in the world. With ambitious expansion plans as the result of an exciting pipeline of future projects, the business is seeking an experienced Shipping Administrator to undertake a 6-month assignment for a specific international project. A broad and varied brief includes:

•Providing Shipping & Logistics administrative support to the operations team
•Co-ordinating the international shipping & delivery of £2m worth of equipment
•Preparation of legal & shipping compliance documentation
•Co-ordinating with supply & shipping teams on delivery times, schedules & management of risk
•Ensuring logistics & import process runs smoothly
•Daily liaison with customers, international suppliers & service providers
•Checking & payment of shipping invoices including documentation preparation
•Tracking the shipment from pick-up through to successful delivery

As an experienced Shipping Administrator with proven international shipping, logistics or freight forwarding experience gained within a busy and challenging business environment, you will demonstrate an eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The role demands a bright, enthusiastic approach alongside the capability to resolve issues and manage a variety of stakeholders within the supply chain. Experience of freight and logistics to Japan would be highly advantageous but not essential. Immediate start available.
