Our client is a Leicestershire based NFP looking to appoint 2 Category Managers for two key departments. Reporting to the Procurement Service Manager, the Category Manager will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of procurement frameworks.

Duties include:
-Responsibility for a portfolio of framework agreements relevant to the category area/s, ensuring they are managed, publicised, marketed, and that usage is monitored to achieve targeted income.
-Support the Procurement Service Manager by creating strategies for development of the category/ies, managing development and implementation of a range of products and services
-Undertake or manage procurement projects from initial idea through to award and ongoing contract management, including (as required) those of a high profile,high value and potentially politically sensitive nature.

• Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply or other professional body.
• Experience of procurement at an influential level in a medium/large complex organisation
• Proven track record in conducting and managing procurement processes, influencing the process to best meet objectives whilst seeking innovation, making savings and delivering value for money.
• Proven track record of managing a varied workload, completing projects on time and delivering high performance.
