SCHOOL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Location: Covent Garden, London

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to oversee the administration function of our Performing Arts School. This involves managing a small team, ensuring the delivery of an excellent support service to both colleagues and students.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a lead administrative post, as well as knowledge of performing arts, ideally in an academic environment. Being able to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively with others is also essential.

• Experience within a similar role, ideally within the field of performing arts and/or an academic environment;
• Proficient Microsoft Office, e-mail and social media skills;
• Experience of organising conferences and events;
• Outstanding relationship building skills with internal and external contacts;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent influencing and negotiating skills;
• Experience of prioritising resources and allocating, managing and controlling budgets;
• First class skills in management of administration preferably gained in an academic or research environment;
• Good people management skills, including the ability to motivate staff and to deal with a range of problems and working relationships;
• Capacity to work under pressure and to cope with multiple competing deadlines.
