Project Support Co-ordinator - Supply Chain Salary c£25,000 DOE plus excellent benefits

Based: Swindon, Wiltshire

Our client, a well-established International manufacturing company are searching for Project Support Co-ordinators to join their Project Management team supporting commercial hubs across the Globe with their supply chain and export of products.

We are searching for commercially aware,articulate graduates with strong administrative skill and experience who want to progress their career with a forward thinking and innovative business where they will be given a chance to grow and excel across the business.

Language skills would be advantageous particularly German, Spanish or French.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Retain long term quality customers via high levels of service on product services and systems
  • Ensure that revenue-generating opportunities are maximised
  • Work equally across all sales teams accountable for supporting the end to end sales process
  • Communicate with sales informing them of all customer requirements, queries, upcoming projects, expectations, feedback to manage expectations
  • Receive, circulate and print drawings, electronic /paper filing, produce quotes from drawings
  • Advise Sales on specific exporting requirements for relevant countries using tools provided
  • Receive descriptions and quantities from Sales, identify product and provide quotations
  • Ensure correct pricing depending on customer/project, obtain quotes for transportation
  • Process orders, liaise with Purchasing, Production and other departments over planned completion dates
  • Provide customers with acknowledgements and Proforma Invoices
  • Liaise with customers over their delivery expectations and shipment dates
  • Ensure payments are received or credit is in place prior to releasing orders for shipping
  • Liaise with customers over transportation, liaise with Goods Out over shipments
  • Produce Export Paperwork, where required
  • Arrange Export Paperwork from outside agencies, where required
  • Field technical calls, ensuring customers receive answers
  • Order queries / Amendments, Proforma Payment Arrangements, Despatch / Delivery
  • Field after-sales calls / liaise with Quality Department
  • Provide training and support to other team members where required

Key Skills and Experience required:

  • Degree in relevant subject e.g. Business Administration etc or strong academics would be ideal or otherwise minimum 5+ years’ experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience ideally within a manufacturing or supply chain environment or role
  • The ability to spot continuous improvement opportunities / lean methodology
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal - excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills Microsoft and use of CRM tools
  • Action oriented; the ability to assess, understand and taken appropriate action
  • Ability to understand technical products and willing to learn technical aspect of the products
  • The ability to adopt a flexible and adaptable attitude within the team to support performance
  • Experience of supply chain / exporting would be an advantage
