I am working exclusively with a fast growing PE backed business in Crewe to recruit an experienced Procurement and Asset Manager.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
• To determine the best procurement strategy to support the expected sharp growth in the business through both organic and acquisitive growth in the next 3-5 years.
• To create a PSL for all key spend categories and manage internal adherence after creation
• To manage & direct third-party suppliers/service providers
• To be the centre of all procurement activities including all any procedural change, business improvement and tender processes.
• To support the COO/CEO in the management of the external spend
• To support the Sales Director in future bid works with up to date procurement data
• Manage the portfolio of assets in the most efficient and cost effective way
• Ensure adherence with the Capital Expenditure Policy
• Create a PSL for assets, limiting spend to a "handful" of critical suppliers
• Manage the servicing of the portfolio in the most cost-effective way
• To be a member of the board management team of the business
• To provide technical advice to all levels within the business on procurement and assets
• To manage external suppliers/service providers against contracted SLAs and costs
• Provide Senior Management with MI regarding benefits from procurement deals
• Provide Senior Management with MI regarding the asset portfolio
• Train and educate operational teams to comply with the PSL
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
• Strong background in procurement & asset management, in a business with £50m+ turnover and 1000+FTE
• Experience in running change management programmes
• Experience in running end to end tender processes from RFQ through ITT to BAFO
• B2B services background
• Team managed scale of 5+ minimum
• Highly driven
• Completer finisher
• Strong people-orientated individual
• Senior management team experience
This role would suit a Procurement Manager seeking a wider role in a business which is expected to grow sharply within the next 3 to 5 years.
