Salary Guide: £40,000 - £46,000 depending on experience

This medium size setting are looking for a very experienced Nursery Manager who will within the next 2 years become the Operations Manager for their 3 settings. The position will initially be to lead and support the day to day running of the setting, ensuring OFSTED legislation is adhered to and high standards of care are delivered throughout the nursery at all times. Supporting team members to achieve their own personal goals whilst maintaining an 'Outstanding’ level of care which enables children to develop to their full potential.

This vacancy is specifically for a very experienced Manager with a proven Ofsted track record of inspections at management level.

You will be working to deliver the most Outstanding practices within this setting, so that you can then model this at the other settings and recruit and train the other managers to ensure all 3 settings deliver the same high standards. You will then continue to support the network as the Operations Manager delivering only the best care possible.

This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday between 730am and 6 pm

A Nursery Manager will demonstrate the following skills and abilities in management and early years practice and meet the requirements:

  • Have a minimum Level 3 in Early Years
  • Proven track record of involvement in supporting in Ofsted Inspections
  • Manage budgets, payroll, rotas, ratios, occupancy etc independently
  • At least 5 years Early Years Manager Experience
  • Strong curriculum planning and self-review skills.
  • Strong leadership acumen.
  • Contribute to the professional reputation of the nursery.
  • Demonstrate a passion for and a commitment to teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality learning outcomes for children.
  • Be committed to quality teaching and learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for all children and parents.
  • Support Manage and motivate the team and participate in a range of staff development activities.
  • Work in partnership with Parents and outside agencies
  • Be self-motivated, innovative, reflective and prepared to think beyond the boundaries.
  • Be results orientated
  • Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills and abilities

You must be able to demonstrate a proven history of the above requirements to be considered for this vacancy and have the ability to develop a fantastic rapport with children, parents and staff and demonstrate significant understanding of children’s learning and development, and education.
