Head of Purchasing

The Company:

Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Division are working exclusively to recruit a pivotal Head of Purchasing role.

The Role:

Reporting into Board level, you will manage a team and will be responsible for all on site Purchasing (Direct/Indirect) and stock management. Key responsibilities will include:

• Raw materials' purchasing including logistics coordination from Asia/Europe
• Full review of current MRP system, data integrity and stock parameters
• Strategizing stock portfolio, improving stock turn, stock reduction
• Full supplier review
• Managing Asian supply chain - working closely with Freight Forwarders
• Centralising Indirect purchasing - building rapport and raising Purchasing Team profile internally
• Overseas travel 2-3 times p.a.

The Person:

You will have/be:

• Proven track record within process/systems/purchasing improvement and change
• Confident in challenging the status quo
• Strong communicator and negotiator
• Excellent stakeholder management/relationship building skills (internal/external)
• Line management experience desirable
• CIPS or degree qualification advantageous although not essential
