The Company:
Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Division are working exclusively to recruit a pivotal Head of Purchasing role.
The Role:
Reporting into Board level, you will manage a team and will be responsible for all on site Purchasing (Direct/Indirect) and stock management. Key responsibilities will include:
- Raw materials' purchasing including logistics coordination from Asia/Europe
- Full review of current MRP system, data integrity and stock parameters
- Strategizing stock portfolio, improving stock turn, stock reduction
- Full supplier review
- Managing Asian supply chain - working closely with Freight Forwarders
- Centralising Indirect purchasing - building rapport and raising Purchasing Team profile internally
- Overseas travel 2-3 times p.a.
The Person:
You will have/be:
- Proven track record within process/systems/purchasing improvement and change
- Confident in challenging the status quo
- Strong communicator and negotiator
- Excellent stakeholder management/relationship building skills (internal/external)
- Line management experience desirable
- CIPS or degree qualification advantageous although not essential
