Global Law Firm seeks an Infrastructure Manager to focus on the management, delivery, improvement and enhancement of the core systems employed by the IT Operations division of this Global Law Firm.

The technical landscape within the remit of the role will include server and network infrastructure (Wintel, Cisco) in relation to core IT Operations - Desktop, Server, Network, Telephony systems. The focus of Infrastructure Management is undertaken with a view to the ongoing stability, improvement and enhancement of IT Operations from the desktop O/S and MS Office applications to the VMWare environment hosting the Windows Server AD/GP environment, the MS Exchange and MS Office 365 environment. The Global MPLS Network hosting LAN/WAN/VPN capabilities and related technologies from the SAN to the Avaya phone system and all mobile devices (largely iOS).

The Infrastructure Manager will lead a cross functional team of Infrastructure Analysts, NOC Engineers and 3rd Line Service Delivery Personnel who will ensure that the infrastructure environment is designed, delivered and supported in a fit-for-purpose fashion and able to support a number of core IT Operations environments (File & Print, MS Exchange/Hybrid O365, AD/GP, the global data network etc) which will be utilised by the organisation. The service delivery element (Service Desk, ITIL Problem Management etc) will be handled by another department but with a cross over to the Infrastructure Operations team.

You will work in a hands-off management capacity but be able to contribute to technical discussions along with development of IT strategy and senior management reporting/liaison. You will also be involved in the day-to-day management of the team and have a number of direct reports -Infrastructure Analysts and Network Support Analysts

We are searching for an Infrastructure Manager who has held a team management position for a significant period of time where you have managed a cross-functional team responsible for the delivery and support of a range of core IT Operations environments around the Wintel and Data Networking fields including: Windows Server, AD/GP, DNS, DHCP, VMWare ESXi, Cisco Data Networks LAN/WAN/VPN (MPLS), SAN, VDI, Telephony etc You will possess exceptional leadership, management and problem solving experience and abilities and be comfortable working with a complex application and infrastructure landscape.

Ideally the successful candidate will come from within the legal services sector although we are able to consider candidates who have gained experience within the professional services sectors, financial services, banking, insurance, consultancy etc. You will possess a degree level education, significant commercial experience and exceptional communication skills.
