Junior Buyer

Pursuit Resources are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer for our client, a well-established, successful and growing company within the construction industry. Joining a fun, relaxed and strong team-environment, our client is looking for a Junior Buyer to join their team due to expansion!

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all Buying for the company, liaising and negotiating directly with suppliers. You will be confident, tenacious, and able to work in a busy environment! Our client is looking for someone with a team-player attitude, to help out in other areas of the business if required due to holiday/sickness, i.e. in the warehouse.

Some duties will include:

• Managing multiple supplier accounts
• Responsible for sourcing a range of items at the best prices for the business
• Meeting with new suppliers
• Managing stock levels
• Purchasing administration
• Negotiating prices with suppliers

Our client is looking for:

• At least ideally 2 year's experience in a similar role
• Construction background not essential but highly desirable
• Confidence, drive and ambition!
• Team player
• Willingness to learn
• Good organisational skills
• Confident MS Office user

The Junior Buyer will have previous experience with placing orders, speaking to suppliers on a daily basis and ideally within a fast paced environment. Microsoft proficient, clear communication and a well organised candidate with the ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously.
