One globally recognised property management company that owns, manages and builds some of the world's best known retail and leisure sites has a FM Category Manager role, owning the FM/Operations spend.
This role required someone who is an SME within all areas of the FM category, both hard and soft with some ad-hoc exposure to some operations spend.
- Report into the Procurement Director and supporting him on FM Strategy
- Implement some long term, strategic projects to create long term benefits
- Negotiate on new and existing contracts, to drive down costs to the company
- Implement SLA's into contracts to ensure service delivery is at optimum level - required to have a full strategic approach
- Influence key stakeholders in the business to define new and effective procurement strategies across level
- Bring previous expertise of improving processes of any current policies
- Manage multi-million spends across assigned sub-categories
- Identify new potential suppliers and cost saving opportunities by using market knowledge
Experience and requirements:
- SME category expert within the FM (hard and soft) as well as Operations
- Achievements within an organisation either by improved service delivery or significant cost savings
- Worked within a large, multi-site organisation with a significant spend
- Able to work under heavy work load in a fast paced, busy environment
- No issues with negotiating and influencing all levels of internal customer / stakeholder
- Managed a led projects from start to finish, autonomously
- Experience in building relationships in varied environment
- Ideally CIPS and degree qualified - not essential
