Our client is a successful company based in Coventry. They are a global leading company specialising in fast and efficient logistics across a large range of industries. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Logistics Coordinator / Transport Planner to work in their team. This is an excellent opportunity with genuine variety and recognition.
Please note: This role is a 9 hour daily shift on a rotational basis, Monday to Friday.
Main responsibilities:
- To engage with suppliers and clients and agree bespoke, time-sensitive transport solutions together with rate negotiation, where necessary
- To monitor and manage company transportation process and administration requirements
- To maintain in-house TMS with RFQ and transport management processes
- To build and maintain excellent customer and supplier relations
- To responsively work under pressure in providing expedited service solutions
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous logistics experience and detailed route planning
- An excellent geographic knowledge
- Critical thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to make strategic decisions
- Polish speaking language skills would be an advantage
