Transaction Operations Manager - Birmingham - £40k - £47k - Perm
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large fast paced business who have a strong profile in the market.
Reporting to the Accounts Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:-

Manage the Transaction Team and organise resources to complete their work effectively and within budget

Ensure the robustness of data control in the key finance systems including their correct accounting treatment from the relevant back-office policy system.

To maintain the effective and auditable controls over transactions, minimising risk and reporting opportunities. Ensure the appropriate review, investigation and resolution to discrepancies.

Control Accounts are managed and reconciled on a timely basis.

Conduct monthly 1:1's and comply with performance review requirements.

Support the Subsidiary Transaction Team as required including purchase ledger, General Insurance and Third-Party Broker Business.

Ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to, including Service Level Agreements.

Ensure relevant KPI's are established to monitor the performance of the team and these are reviewed on a timely basis.

Ensure continuous improvements underpin the team and strive for quality process improvements.

Unusual items are investigated on a timely basis and satisfactorily resolved.

Build strong inter business unit relationships to ensure process issues are resolved on a timely basis.

Support the Group Finance Change team on project initiatives.

To provide support to the internal and external audit process.

Responsible for updating the Business Continuity Plan on a timely basis.

Any process failures are escalated accordingly.
