Interaction Recruitment are working with this manufacturer within the electronics industry to recruit for a full time permanent Buyer.

You will provide support to the Purchasing Manager in purchasing goods, materials and services to ensure that the companies operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply

The Role:-

Process customer requirements onto internal quoting documentation to allow supplier pricing to be collated and an accurate sales quote

As per Purchasing Managers agreement purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets

Check order acknowledgements to confirm the delivery time-scale and that there are no delays. Give stores the required documentation once all orders are confirmed

Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on operations

Maintain accurate records of all orders within MRP

Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality , delivery or invoice issues

Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation

The Person:-

Ideally have an electronic component buying experience of 12 months or more but not essential

Must have a purchasing/ buying background within a technical or manufacturing industry

Good all round computer skills - essentially proficient in Excel

Accuracy and working to speed are important
