Job Title: Shipping Analyst
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
The company:
Our client are a multi - national shipping group with a growing fleet of product and chemical tankers. Our client is looking for a Shipping/Commercial Analyst to join the business development department based in Central London. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for an individual to be part of a dynamic, fast paced and rapidly growing multi-national group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Preparing internal presentations and maintaining presentation archive
- Preparing financial models and presenting business cases
- Developing investment proposals and materials
- Developing research materials, maintaining data sets for producing reports
- Ship Sale and Purchase
- Ensuring all processes are following in line with Company procedures
- Communicating and reporting to senior management
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure in a highly demanding environment
- Motivated by a fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Experience of financial modelling and development of investment proposals
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management
- Interfacing/managing across departments for project delivery
- Other soft skills - self-starter, pro-active, energy/drive, open minded, flexible, can work independently
- Strong commercial acumen and sound judgement
- Problem solving and ability to work creatively
- Managing deadlines and varied projects
- Proficiency with Power BI and SharePoint
- Advanced use of PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent document preparation and presentation skills
Education & Experience
-
Finance, Accountancy or similar Degree (or equivalent)

Understanding of shipping industry from either a shipping analyst or transactional background
