ROLE- Operations Manager
LOCATION- Aberdeen
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- Circa £40,000 - £55,000 per annum but dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)
My client works within the Oil & Gas sector, and they are looking to take on an Engineering Operations Manager, on a permanent basis, in the Aberdeen area.
The Operations Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- BSc/ BEng/ MSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 2 or more years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas / Offshore industry with some experience of offshore work would be ideal
- A mechanical/ hydraulic systems background within oil & gas would be preferred
- Existing Management skills and experience
- Have previously been involved with planning for offshore mobilization
- Have previous experience of running day to day operations
- Previous exposure to CAD software i.e Inventor or AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Confident character
The Operations Manager role will involve:
- Working within a small company in a varied hands-on role
- Managing projects and operations
- Interfacing with clients
- Managing other staff members
- Preparing equipment to go offshore
- Being involved in projects working with hydraulic systems and tooling
