Warehouse Operations Manager

Your new company

Hays Supply Chain are pleased to be assisting a well-established luxury goods retailer in the Gloucester area for the recruitment of a Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team. They are currently growing rapidly in the UK and our transforming their current Warehousing Operations to match increasing demand.

Your new role

You will lead a team of up to 15 warehouse operatives, monitoring and allocating their work with the aim of delivering process efficiency and the smooth running of day to day operations. You will ensure goods received into the warehouse are off loaded, sorted correctly and efficiently whilst recording quantity and quality of goods accurately.

You will monitor the movement of goods around the warehouse ensuring they are transported in a safe and manner, complying with full health & safety standards. You will ensure systems are running smoothly and take the initiative to troubleshoot system issues. You drive a culture of continuous improvement and best practice, aiming to maximize system and process efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a motivated and committed individual with prior experience working in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of scanning and picking equipment will allow you to quickly resolve any process or system issues and to excel in this role. You will be a great people manager with experience in recruitment, workforce development and staff retention. You will bring new ideas and ways of thinking to help develop and grow the business as a whole.
