Sales and Logistics Manager Full time position.
Evans Marquee Hire are looking to recruit a Sales and Logistics Manager. Evans Marquee Hire which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year is a renowned and expanding Marquee Company providing Traditional and Frame marquees for a wide variety of events. Contracts which include weddings, corporate, media and film events and agricultural shows are mainly within the north west of the UK with a smaller percentage nationally. The company prides itself in having a friendly, family orientated working environment.
The manager should be of a pleasant and energetic character who has the personable skills of demands of sales. He or she would be in contact with clients on site and over the phone and internet. Experience of business and management is an advantage together with a good grounding in IT skills.
A good understanding of social media advertising, along with other forms of online advertising will be an advantage. Part of the role would be to plan and manage our online advertising strategies, helping to increase brand awareness and driving sales.
The nature of the marquee industry requires that the manager needs to have a small amount of hands on activity in accompanying staff to contracts and assisting in the work for short periods. An ability to drive 3.5 ton and 7.5 ton trucks is an advantage.
Eventually the manager would visit locations to meet with clients, to measure marquee layouts, calculate quotations, planning of staff working patterns, arranging courses, arranging vehicle servicing etc. The main aspects of the position are:
- Manage sales from enquiry to completion
- Drive new sales via social media and online advertising
- Increase online brand awareness
- Carry out site visits
- Spend time on site with the marquee foremen
- Plan staff working patterns and hire temporary staff as needed
- Arrange training courses as needed
The position requires the provision of their own appropriate motor vehicle and standard expenses would be provided.
Holidays. 28 days per annum plus all Bank Holidays.
Salary is on a monthly basis, circa £28,000/ annum
