A newly created role working for a global FTSE 250 business, joining in the midst of a large procurement transformation across indirects.

The role will be reporting directly into the EMEA Procurement Manager - Indirect to implement strategies for all contracts and suppliers to improve supply to the business. The focus will be to achieve cost savings, but always keeping in mind the best service delivery without surrendering existing relationships. The ideal person will have come from a global environment with multi-site offices that has extensive supplier relationship management experience who can portray particular achievements in post.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Work with EMEA Procurement Manager Indirects to define the policies & strategies for contract and supplier management
  • Identify and execute cost savings where possible with speed
  • Review all existing contracts and re-negotiate / alter contracts to improve service
  • Use a strategic approach, working with stakeholders to understand their needs but use market advice to influence them
  • You will be the sole business member for all contract and supplier management globally
  • Analyse spend across all indirect services and identify contractual improvements
  • Hold negotiations with existing suppliers and on-boarding new supplier contracts
  • Implemented a system or process to carefully manage renewals and end of term contracts

Experience required:

  • Post contract SRM / vendor / contract management in a global environment
  • Proven significant achievements either by improved delivery or cost savings
  • Broad category experience, being able to adapt to new sub-categories
  • Senior-level stakeholder management, confident to influence with own ideas
  • Understanding of legal terms within contracts
  • Held negotiations of contracts with large spends
  • MCIPS preference but not ideal
