An exciting opportunity has arisen in a very well established and growing roofing company in West Sussex, who are looking for the right candidate to join their team as a Trainee Contracts Manager.

The role will include all aspects of contracts management, including work estimating, developing relationships with Main Contractors and further developing relationships with Roofing Manufacturers and Suppliers to help secure further work and build an established pipeline. You will learn the whole process from start to finish and work as part of a team to help our Client deliver Projects on time and in line with budget. You would be mainly office-based with site visits where appropriate to ensure that all Project deliverables are being met. The job will start as a trainee position alongside a Senior Contracts Manager, but with the aim that the candidate will be in an establish Contracts Manager position within two to three years. Therefore, this is an exciting prospect for a hard-working, dedicated and ambitious person.

The right candidate will:

  • Have an eye for detail and an ability to extract important information
  • Have the ability to develop relationships at Management level
  • Have a thirst for knowledge and learning
  • Desire fast progression in their career and be willing to work hard towards this
  • High Level of Organisation and Administration experience
  • Extremely high of interpersonal skills, including the ability to flex communications from labour to client.
  • Have good Maths and English skills
  • Possibly have completed a degree or other higher qualification (preferably within construction or engineering)

Salary: £22,000-£25,000 which will increase with experience. This role also comes with:

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 (these hours may need to be adapted to company needs and requirements).
