We are working with a leading beauty brand that is seeking an experienced Shipping & Logistics Planner to join their team.

You will arrange all global shipping by sea and air, ensuring production schedules are completed in line with the critical path. You will take ownership of capacity planning, ensure the relevant AQL tests are completed, and liaise with the UK warehouse teams on both inbound and outbound delivery schedules.

The successful candidate will be an experienced global shipping professional, who has first-hand experience of working with large volume retail product and retailer delivery requirements.

Duties for this Shipping & Logistics Planner role will include:

  • Arranging cost-efficient inbound shipments in line with the critical path via both air and sea freight, including LCLs, obtaining quotes and raising necessary documentation
  • Liaising with factories to ensure that production and samples are always on time, in line with the business-critical path
  • Monitoring and identifying any potential risks within the production process, being proactive in providing solutions and escalating any major concerns
  • Liaising with internal teams, ensure all products are received on time and processed efficiently in order to meet customer delivery dates
  • Managing re-processing requirements with the warehouse teams, such that stock is available in a timely manner
  • Planning capacity with company warehouses, flagging any capacity concerns quickly
  • Maintaining all company tracker and product management reports, ensure they are up-to-date and accurate at all times
  • Supporting the wider business with analysis, reporting and project work as required

Requirements for this Shipping & Logistics Planner position:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience within a similar role
  • Solid Far East supplier experience
  • Extensive experience of global shipping, including air and sea freight, FOB / ExWorks, container fills, and export documentation
  • Deadline driven and highly organised, with experience of working to critical paths
  • Experience working with Supplier Manuals customer-specific requirements
  • Numeric and analytical, with excellent forecasting skills
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to create and maintain solid relationships, both internally and externally
  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritise
  • Proficient with IT and systems, with confident excel skills
  • A confident and proactive approach, with the ability to problem-solve and deal with any escalations of concerns
  • A flexible, proactive approach, and a desire to make a difference in a rapidly growing business
